Plastic surgery
Reduction & lift
Breast reduction removes breast tissue to relieve the weight and discomfort of large breasts; a lift (mastopexy) raises and reshapes the breast without primarily changing its volume.
Korea Breast Care coordinates a consultation with a registered plastic surgery institution. Whether reduction, lift, or a combination is appropriate is decided by the surgeon.
What this covers
Scope of this field
Reduction and lift are plastic surgery fields. Because they change breast tissue, the surgeon may recommend age-appropriate breast imaging before surgery; we can coordinate that with a radiology or breast-surgery institution.
- Reduction for large or heavy breasts
- Lift (mastopexy) for ptosis / sagging
- Correction of asymmetry
- Scarring and healing expectations
- Recovery and return-to-activity planning

- Relevant medical history and medications
- Any previous breast surgery records
- Recent breast imaging, if available
- Your questions about scars and recovery
